Hostility is a state-of-the-art proprietary formula exclusive to PVPHT with the goal of making our PVP fair for all players based on skill. It is a rating system intended to accurately display the potential threat level of players at first glance before engaging in PVP, and may fluctuate up and down depending on several factors. It acts as an upfront estimation of a player's current PVP ability, displayed openly to promote a fun PVP experience for everyone.
There are many factors that go into determining a player's Hostility score. While we cannot detail all of the exact specifics — this is a PVPHT "secret sauce" — we can detail a few:
We know some of this information may be intentionally vague, but it should be enough for you to understand what Hostility means, and how to increase your Hostility score on PVPHT.
If you have further questions about your Hostility score, feel free to contact a staff member on the PVPHT Discord. We will answer whatever questions about Hostility that we can, but some knowledge may be kept limited or confidential due to the proprietary nature of this system.
We can also manually review your Hostility score to verify its accuracy, if you truly believe it is not correct. Keep in mind that your Hostility score will change over time, and can only be directly impacted by you alone. Improve your PVP skills and your Hostility score will improve with time to show the positive changes you've made.
Review other players' Hostility scores before engaging in PVP with them. If their Hostility score is much higher than yours, our system has determined that they are likely to be more dangerous in PVP than you, and you should keep this in mind before PVPing them, as we think you're likely to lose. Maybe you can prove us wrong... and your Hostility score will reflect that over time if you do!
